Tube style anagama (cave) kiln located in Pine Bush, NY. This is another of my favorite kilns due to ease of loading, and even firing temps. This kiln burns lots of wood quickly for large ash deposits on the ware. Stackable space is about 75 cu/ft, perfect for a small group, or individual committed to making clay work. We used Super Duty High Alumina hard brick for all hot face, DSF mullite for the firebox grate, 2300 soft brick and 2 layers 6# fiber tucked under vermiculite stucco for insulation. High duty brick were used in the chimney for cost savings.
